Harry Kolodner, M.D.

Dr. Harry Kolodner has been providing quality eye care in the Palm Harbor area for over thirty years. After growing up in upstate New York, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue his dream of becoming a physician. He graduated from the Boston University Six Year Program in Liberal Arts and Medicine with Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees. Following medical school, he completed a Straight Medicine Internship at the EJ Meyer Memorial and Buffalo General Hospitals in Buffalo, New York and then entered the Ophthalmology Residency Program at the Albany Medical Center Affiliated Hospitals in Albany, New York. After residency, he joined the US Navy as a lieutenant commander stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland where he worked as a staff ophthalmologist providing medical and surgical eye care to his patients while supervising and teaching ophthalmology residents at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. Next, Dr. Kolodner elected to complete two Ophthalmology fellowships, the first at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Eye Surgery and the second at the Louisiana State University Eye & Ear Infirmary in Cornea and External Eye Diseases. In January 1979, Dr. Kolodner accepted an offer to join the Ophthalmology Department at the University of South Florida College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology specializing in Cornea and External Eye Diseases. Dr. Kolodner and his family moved to Pinellas County in 1981 to open his private practice in General Ophthalmology. He has been actively practicing Ophthalmology at his current location since 1993. He is a member of the Academy of Ophthalmology and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
